This workunit has been running on my machine (160893) for 9 hours + and is still only at 1%, is there an error in the WU's again? Total times: 09:13:32 running (hh:mm:ss), with 11:00:08 (hh:mm:ss) left. The WU has a deadline of 12 Mar 2006 23:11:19 UTC, which is now passed.... this looks to have been designed as a quick WU, but some error in it has stopped it from running. Any ideas, and if there's a bug, will I get credits for the 9 hours it's been idling? Thanks. EDIT: Restarted the BOINC process tree on my machine, and it's now working again, it just did 16% in 9 mins, looks like the process hung. so my CPU just wasted 9 hours :( Maybe this is something that can be fixed, ie: running a second process that monitors the WU crunching, and if it detects a hang, it'll restart it. :( |

Another good idea!! what i find strange is that sometimes the work units will hang, you will then force boinc to start a new one, it will crunch it happily so you know everything works fine, you force it to go back to the old uni and it hangs again! That irks me somewhat! |
