I would suggest that you abort them. Was there some unexpected reason that they did not complete or report on time? ...or did you just have your machine off or other reason that this was expected? Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Nothing unnormal happened, i just got them pretty late, i have my pc evey day some hours running and it makes 7 WU simultaneously. Must have been a very close deadline already as i got them. http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/3737548/projectList |

This happened actually. Today its the 13th of decembre, the last few WU i got have a deadline for 20st and 21st, but a few minutes ago then i got some with a deadline for 16th. Since i switched the length of WU back from 8 h to 4 h but i still get long WUs, i suspended some WUs to get the 16ers running. http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/3737548/projectList |

The deadlines do not reflect your runtime preference for the tasks. And the estimated runtimes do not immediately adjust to your new preference. Also, some types of R@h work have the 3 day deadlines, and the others have 8 day deadlines. ...and yes, that can sometimes confuse the BOINC Manager on when more work is needed, and which tasks it really needs to be running first. I have similar problems myself, and especially when WCG drops in tasks with 24hr deadlines. I figured your original issue was something like that, but did not want to presume there were not other issues that brought you there. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Also, some types of R@h work have the 3 day deadlines, and the others have 8 day deadlines. Has anyone looked at how many times the person submitting work puts a short deadline and results are not returned by the deadline? I was thinking that they could possibly use the result returned .... say 1 hour late ... rather than reissuing the work again and getting it back in 3 days. Just curious. I still cannot figure out why Rosetta does not issue credit for work started before the deadline and completed. Those credits must be very expensive to purchase from BOINC. |

tbh i don't understand completely why there has to be such a close deadline, do WUs rot ? http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/3737548/projectList |
