Here there are all the tests of new functions of rosettacommons (and r@h) code.
There is also the "mac.clang.opencl.build.debug" test.

Do you plan an opencl app??

It appears to me, that they are simply verifying that the source code can be compiled in various ways (gcc, icc, opencl, clang, ... ) and the binary execute. The internal structure of Rosetta sources will make it likely that an opencl version would run MANY times slower than a simple gcc compile. Since the source is used and modified by other organizations, this appears to be simply Software QA.

if it is going open cl it'd sound like a cool thing :D
these days those 'gpu supercomputers' are reaching petaflops speeds

I think the only way to see some "gpu work" is to create a sub-project of Rosetta with "specialized" simulations.
Like they did with Android (that crunches only some kinds of wus).

P.S.
I don't know if they never tried to use the boinc wrapper to test this kind of simulations (like xanson4cod did).

I hope that this award will help the development/optimization of the Rosetta code..

I see a folder, in minirosetta_database zip file, named "gpu" with some .cl files inside.
I think it's related to screensaver, but i don't know...
