I have many computers running Rosetta, however this message appears in all of them, so I do not know which computer has the issue. Could the message include the name of the computer that needs more space? Thanks! Marcos |

How are you bringing all of the messages together? I mean the aggregator of that information should know the origin of the information. I've seen several people post about disk space lately. The WUs are using more than ever. I would definitely suggest giving more than the specific minimum stated in the message. Others have found that giving the first amount of storage allows BOINC Manager to request more WUs, which then increases the disk space requirements further. The message is from the BOINC Manager, not specifically from Rosetta. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Oh, the other thing to consider, is the resource share given to R@h as compared to other BOINC projects. I believe the BOINC Manager tries to divide the disk that it is allowed to use in to portions for each project, based on the resource shares. In other words, even if BOINC Manager is allowed to use 25GB of disk, if R@h only has a 10% resource share, I believe it starts to get messages when it needs more than about 2.5GB. An easy fix would be to divide up your projects by computer. One computer runs Rosetta, another runs a second project, etc. You can always add a second project with resource set to zero for a back up in case the primary project runs out of work units or problems. I noticed you are on Linux. Is the partition where Boinc is storing its files small? Linux may not treat the entire hard disk as one pool but multiple smaller ones. Check your free space per partition? |

My Resource share is 100:100 with 2 projects. BOINC has 20GB to play with, and Rosetta presently has 13GB of that. Grant Darwin NT |

I have 100% for Rosetta in all computers. When I get that message it appears in all clients, so I do not know which one is generating it unless I check. It is good that it appears in all clients, as I am not monitoring all all the time. It just needs to be a bit more specific... |
