I think your current work all gets dumped. I think mine did, for 4 cpus. I'm afraid to try it again. It does. That's why I set Rosetta to "no new tasks" - and let the queue run out, before removing and readding Rosetta under the new SSL URL. |

I think your current work all gets dumped. I think mine did, for 4 cpus. I'm afraid to try it again. this seems to be exactly my result. I followed the instructions an hour ago. Removed the old project, it was at 24%, before Dumped. added the new project URL with https and now nothing. It says it's downloading work from the server but it's been over an hour and nothing. I guess this is the end of the road. |

I just trashed all the work in progress on the first linux (debian) box I tried to update as well. where exactly is this 'detach' again? I can't find it in setup or options anywhere. I ended up adding the project again with the 's' in the correct place by editing the URL in the 'add project' box. then it split the work load between the existing and 'new' project. Of course when I removed the 'old' original project with all work in progress it removed all of the on going work. I guess I need to get an editor and dig into config files. lol just detach and reattach, ez peasy. |

I think your current work all gets dumped. I think mine did, for 4 cpus. I'm afraid to try it again. Err... you're showing 60 fresh tasks downloaded. Is that not right? |

On the contrary.....the old URL no longer returns new work (not sure about reporting completed work). |

I think your current work all gets dumped. I think mine did, for 4 cpus. I'm afraid to try it again. It's not right. It was showing 0 downloading in Advanced view and been sitting at Downloading work for over an hour. I just stopped it and exited the app and switched back to F@H. CPU work fired off right away on COVID projects. |

It's not right. It was showing 0 downloading in Advanced view and been sitting at Downloading work for over an hour.Your account shows 60 Tasks in progress on that system, the same one that lost all the units when removing the project. So something- such as AV software- has either deleted them, or is blocking the downloads from occurring. If it's says it's downloading work, then it looks like they are being blocked- because they have been allocated to your system. Exit & restart BOINC to see if it gets the downloads going- otherwise check your AV/Internet security/Firewall settings to see what is blocking them. Grant Darwin NT |

Apparently you are advised to finish any tasks you have d/l for queue, or at least work in progress as AFAIK this will reset your current work and download newer stuff. That's what I'm seeing. Finish work in progress. set for 'no new work' then when convenient dump the project and update with the 'new' project, IOW reset the project basically. Same difference near as I can tell. YMMV but that's what I'm doing. |

On the contrary.....the old URL no longer returns new work (not sure about reporting completed work). I just got a flood of new tasks, starting just before I set No new tasks. |

is there a MIN version of BOINC that this will work on?? I'm using 6.12.34 and when I try to attach I get 5/1/2020 11:12:56 PM | | Fetching configuration file from https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/get_project_config.php 5/1/2020 11:12:58 PM | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 5/1/2020 11:13:00 PM | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. or is something else going on?? I just replaced the http with https in: account_boinc.bakerlab.org_rosetta.xmlfile in program data directory, second line: <master_url>https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/</master_url> Rebooted the machine and the tasks continued from the point where they were before. The only thing I saw as a change is on the project properties in BOINC manager - task completed and task failed counters have been reset to 0 after rebooting the host. |

The URL isn't updated at least in the debian stretch version which is no doubt old anyhow. I'm talking about when you go to 'add project' menus. no https there. not unexpected. |

No doubt everyone will be paid appropriately for the resulting work. Common cents as they say. |

Hi, I have 2 clients, one on Linux (ubuntu) and Mac. I noticed that I only received notifications on my Mac's boinc manager, but not Linux. Anyway, the tasks were finishing on Linu so I removed the project and tried to reattach Rosetta. It just keeps saying: "Failed to add. Please try again later" Here's how I add it: Add Project -> Scroll to Rosetta-> paste this url "https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/" --> click next. --jonoave-- |

Hi. Complete newbie here. How does someone with the RaspberryPi version running headless change the URL? When I go to boinctui and choose Projects, Add project and select rosetta@home the panel just asks for the username and password, the url at the top of the page is configured to the HTTP address. I installed boinc with a file called "balena-cloud-rosetta-at-home-arm-raspberrypi4-64-2.48.0+rev1-v10.8.0-1360763.img" if that helps. Any help appreciated. Andy |
