From Foldit site:
Hey everyone!

We've just pushed out an update with some big changes to our underlying biochemistry software, Rosetta.

Rosetta provides Foldit with algorithms that represent the state-of-the-art of protein biochemistry modeling. However, the version of Rosetta you are using is now quite a few years out of date, and we'd like to get back to the cutting edge.

This update brings us up-to-date with the latest version of Rosetta. You hopefully shouldn't actually notice any changes... yet. The benefits of this update will come down the road as we begin to take advantage of the features in this more capable version of Rosetta.

Another important update to Foldit - implementation of AlphaFold:

The "interface" with AlphaFold started the last summer like an experiment (they didn't know if it would have been useful or not).
Now they want to "expand" this possibility with a new tool: "Neural Net Tool"

What a exciting years for molecular design!!

It seems that they are systematizing Foldit more and more. I have not tried it, but if success is predicted more and more by distrogram data, and if problem areas are addressed by trying out a large number of amino acids, does that not suggest that it could be done with computers rather than humans?

Up to now, no. Human "intuition" is still required.
But the union of AI + Human intelligence + Computational power are opening new pages of research

* The HBNet filter will now only show BUNS when the network is hovered over.
* Panels now are brought to the front when they are toggled visible.
* Move AlphaFold button from Main Menu to Action Bar.

Bug Fixes:
* Fixed an issue causing the game to spam empty directories to the filesystem.
* Fixed a number of issues with backbone pins being reset, or displaying incorrectly.
* Fix disulfide display in the Collagen Education Mode puzzle.
* Fix how we handle the close window button for Linux clients.
* Fix some crashes in scoring related to hydrogen bonds.
* Fixed a crash on puzzle loading.
* View Options should retain information from the options.txt on puzzle load
* Missing View Options like "Show Clashes" should appear as normal on tutorial puzzles
