Sorry, I’ve never tried. Do you need to do more than detach from the project? What advantage does account deletion give you?

I'm just deleting my presence from the internet for all unused accounts where possible.
Depending on jurisdiction, it's a legal requirement to allow this to be done.
It's surprising how easy and difficult or impossible this has been.

Just for commentary - I grabbed this from the Internet elsewhere "GDPR is specifically designed to protect the personal information of EU citizens and residents. Therefore, it only applies to EU citizens and residents inside the EU. However, it also applies to all companies that process the personal data of EU citizens, regardless of whether or not a company is based in the EU."

In my case I'm neither - just wanting to cleanse my data... :)

Good luck in them trying to make that stick anywhere outside of the EU.
