Ralph@Home is down many days.
I hope they closed the project, 'cause it was a waste of electricity

And the bigger question is what happens here after they run out of work in a couple of weeks.
Either they come up with something new, or it is all over.

At the present rate, just under two days.

Either they come up with something new, or it is all over.
There's still the occasional batch of Rosetta 4.20 work that comes out, but i've considered the project over ever since they released the half-baked Python Tasks and application and stopped producing any meaningful amount of Rosetta 4.20 work.
And apart from a couple of changes after months of people posting about them, they haven't made any attempt to fully fix those issues they just tweaked (initial HDD & RAM requirements even though actual use is much lower), much less the other issues that people have posted about (such as disk writes & zombie Tasks), not to mention systems that have been working OK being randomly black listed with no idea of what those errors were or how many occurred to result in the black listing & no notification of the black listing so the only way people find out is if they look at their account & find one of their systems hasn't done any Python work for a few days (or weeks or longer), yet other systems producing mostly errors don't get blacklisted.

I don't think so.
There is a lot of work to do.
But seems that admins are satisfied of this app, without the will to update/optimized/introduce new features, etc.
And it's strange, cause the rosetta code is constantly updated
Also Foldit is constantly updated....

Python is just the project of a lone researcher. He probably does not have much support. We don't know what data they are crunching; it may be a fixed set.
And once he/she completes the experiment, there may be no more need to continue the project.

It is possible that they will achieve such a useful result that they decide to continue though.
In that case, I would expect them to use an updated python version with some fixes.

They dropped a single lump of 2.5m Python WUs and have not added any since. We’re now down below 12k and will probably run out within a week.

In the absence of new Python work, given how sparse the 4.20 jobs have been and given that most of the new work is being done internally I’m not seeing a lot of work for us to do.

The End is Near.
Yet "Tasks ready to send" shows 3972 (1hr 40min later than the Total queued jobs time stamp).
But either way, the Pythons are almost finished (apart for the resends for a week or two).

Then it'll just be the occasional mini dump of Rosetta 4.20 Tasks and their resends.

I want to complete my sentence:
There is a lot of work to do, but it will be done by AI (and not our pcs)

Looks like they have updated the Ralph main page since then.
Rosetta version 4.23 released for testing
The Rosetta application has been updated to include a protocol named GALigandDock that will be used to screen an ultra-large library of small molecules for drug discovery. Please report any issue in the discussion thread here:

Yeah, rather difficult to test an application without any data to process...
