For the past several days the following happens: New tasks begin to download, and sometimes get a few bytes of information, Then they stop, saying "Project backed off" They sit there for several hours in that state, And then the download gets canceled by the server Is there something i can do to fix this |

For the past several days the following happens: A lot of people have reported this problem, even though some don't see it at all. I don't think you can solve it yourself. It seems to be an issue at their end. All 6 million tasks have been withdrawn now, and there's still no current supply |

I joined the rosetta project in Dec 2022 and have quit and rejoined several times to make sure I am on the SSL link. When work is requested, I either receive no tasks, or, when they are available, the downloads spend all their time in a "project backed off" state, continually backing off for longer and longer amounts of time. No download ever finishes. Is there actually work available,? Are the servers really "up and running" as reported on the website? I am running Ubuntu Linux 5.15.0-58-generic on a NUC and Boinc manager 7.18.1. |

Using BOINC here on a fedora system and still not getting any tasks. I keep getting "Communications deferred" message although te site says all servers are running. How can I check to see if I'm actually communicating with the server? I don't see any problem with other task sites. |

Using BOINC here on a fedora system and still not getting any tasks.Because there aren't any available at present (other than the very occasional resend for a while). How can I check to see if I'm actually communicating with the server? I don't see any problem with other task sites.Check the BOINC Manager Event log (Advanced view, Tools, Event Log). When you click on Update when Rosetta is the selected project, it will contact the Scheduler. The Event Log will show if it was successful or not. Grant Darwin NT |
