This is in the works, but the timing is poor right now. The start of the CASP competition has diverted a lot of project resources. Also they have been working on killing bugs in the application. Now that the bugs are almost all gone they may work on other platforms. As a Mac person myself I can assure you that I am pushing hard for this change. Many of the project team are also Mac people, so you have not been forgotten. It may be possible to see this in the next few weeks, but I do not want to promise that date. Actually there is no need to make it a universal binary -- the application can be built separately for apple-darwin-powerpc and apple-darwin-i686. That's the preferred approach, since a given machine is one or the other. The BOINC client itself is universal. |
