Both Rosetta and Einstein are not uploading any work. Downloads from Rosetta and Einstein are working fine. The latest count is 11 Rosetta units and 5 Einstein units waiting to retry uploading. This has been happening since last Friday. SETI, LHC and CPDN (trickles) are uploading just fine. I have set no new work for Rosetta and Einstein until I can figure out how to get the work I have uploaded. Any suggestions on what to look for? |

Interesting. I noticed something similar on my Windows machines today, but it only occurred on Windows machines. My Macs didn't have the problem. I had about 10 work units on 4 machines waiting for upload. A manual update fixed the problem and they uploaded immediately. Below is a sample message. 10/18/2005 5:43:42 PM|rosetta@home|Started upload of 1bmbA_abrelax_05091_1_0 10/18/2005 5:43:42 PM|rosetta@home|Started upload of 1bmbA_abrelax_05091_1_1 10/18/2005 5:43:44 PM|rosetta@home|Finished upload of 1bmbA_abrelax_05091_1_0 10/18/2005 5:43:44 PM|rosetta@home|Throughput 72541 bytes/sec 10/18/2005 5:44:04 PM|rosetta@home|Temporarily failed upload of 1bmbA_abrelax_05091_1_1 = ERR_IO: bytes_xferred: 0, file offset: 0, expected content length: 0 10/18/2005 5:44:04 PM|rosetta@home|Backing off 1 minutes and 0 seconds on upload of file 1bmbA_abrelax_05091_1_1 Team MacNN - The best Macintosh team ever. |

Noticed the same thing for the first time on my Windows box as well. Manual update got them uploaded. |

I have tried manual updates (update button on the projects tab) but uploads still do not complete. When I force a retry of the upload I sometimes see the "size" change. The 0.00 in 0.00/24.17KB will change to show some data transfer and the speed column will show a transfer speed. After the upload fails the 0.00 returns in the size column. I assume this is indicating the transfer is starting but quickly terminating. I have also noticed I have difficulty getting to Rosetta@home web pages. I have trouble (it takes a long time) loading the University of Washington's main web page also (www.washington.edu) which leads me to suspect that the upload problem is a communications problem between the location of one of my machines and the University of Washington. |

"Me too." My three AMD X2 rigs at home are now suffering from this. Manual update works fine though. Jeff's Computer Farm |

"Me too." Which client are you running Jeff? I've not seen this behaviour on any of my machines. The Clangers Forum BOINC Wiki |

"Me too." Some 4.45, 4.68, and 4.7x(?). BUT, the upload problem seems to have cleared itself overnight. Jeff's Computer Farm |

Rosetta & Einstein still won't upload. Four other projects on the same machine are uploading and/or downloading without any trouble. I don't want to allow new work for these two projects only to have more results that I can't return. |

Rosetta & Einstein still won't upload.I have the same problem but I attributed mine to trying 5.2.1 (now 5.2.2). I have Rosetta,Primegrid, and Predictor that are having problems uploading for me. When I took them to a different network, all work fine. THe main difference is the network that works is alot faster lately. Is there any problem if I only upload 1 time per week for this project? I can still download and connect to the scheduler. |

I'm new to this project, but I found that all my WU took 3/4 hours to upload after they complete... in the logs it says 'finished... uploading...' then 3 hours later it goes and get more work and 'finalizes' the WU. I don't see anything wrong with that, but it's true it might confuse the people just getting started. Team CFVault.com http://www.cfvault.com |

My uploads went fine last night. They were trying to upload with various errors for the last week. Somehow all the projects uploaded all the files without me changing anything. Hopefully that problem for me is gone. |

The uploads for Rosetta finally completed on 21 Oct 2005 at 13:43:56 UTC. The other projects that couldn't upload also succeeded at about the same time. I am not sure where the problem was but it seems to have sorted itself out. |
