Is it possible at all to view the transfer log of all uploads/downloads and interaction of ones computer with the rosetta@home servers?
Normal transfer activity is only displayed in the transfer window while it is activem, and is removed when complete.

any help appreciated.

The messages tab (actually it a file called stdoutdae.txt ) contains most of the information you'll want.

If you want more in-depth logging you can enable it the debugging options

read here http://boinc.berkeley.edu/client_msgs.php for more information.

I had not heard about cc_config.xml as described in the page you mentioned so I went hunting. I have the soruce for 5.4.9 so I can compile it for my Linux system. That file name did not show up in any source file. I went to the CVS repository and looked at the checkin_notes file. The cc_config.xml file replaced the log_flags.xml file on May 21. Version 5.4.9 was released on or about May 5. So, cc_config.xml is not part of the latest release.

That being said, I noticed in the CVS repository that Rom has tagged version 5.5.1 as of today so it should be in that. However, 5.5.1, has not been released and would only be available via CVS for the very brave (or foolhardy)!!!
