Hello Everyone,

I have been trying to to connect to the rosetta@home project thru bonic for the past three days. When I enter the url http://bonic.bakerlab.org/rosetta, bonic informs me that it is NOT a bonic based project. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

It is https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/
instead of http://bonic.bakerlab.org/rosetta/

Just a typo :-)

this needs to be made easier for people - couldn't it be made into 'check the boxes for the projects you want to run' in BOINC rather than typing the urls in? Or has this already in the pipeline? I'm going to bed now, but will look at mentioning it on the BOINC boards if it's not already been mentioned/actioned.

cheers
Danny

How to copy and paste will help.

It would be nice if BOINC had a menu of projects with boxes for project selection.

I was going to ask what OS you're running on your Mac, since only one OS may be supported at the moment. However, the 64 bit Linux folks running a 64 bit Boinc client posted the file name that was missing, if I remember the posting correctly.

Perhaps someone that has run into the non supported OS/hardware issue can post the error message they were given.

It's strange that that page doesn't offer you the url of the project you were linked from as the default.

I did a new installation on a reformatted machine a few hours ago (I reformatted my USB drive by mistake) and BOINC said that https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ was not recognized as a project after I had entered my e-mail address and password. However, a job was downloaded and I have been crunching happily. This only happens on new installations, not when installing on top of an old installation.

Edit: Windows Vista.

I know its non sense but are you sure to have installed the BOINC release for mac? (I don't know if it's possible to install a win release on a mac computer...?)
