3 lost WUs

And what backup you may have made prior to the new release? It should be possible to upgrade BOINC and resume the existing WUs (at least it is on Windows). Did you get the SLOTS folder as well? ...and then you fire BOINC back up and... what? there are no WUs listed? Tom Philippart Send message Joined: 29 May 06 Posts: 183 Credit: 834,667 RAC: 0	Message 22043 - Posted: 8 Aug 2006, 17:45:29 UTC no, i didn't backup the slots folder :( i only did a backup of the projects folder because i thought everything would be in it... i installed the new version and the stored WU in "transfers" were gone..., not sent according to my rosetta profile. does anybody know if there's a function like "system restore" in linux. so is there no way copying back the projects folder will work? The project can never be dependant on everyone's PCs and ISPs running flawlessly. So, it recovers. Anyway, if you make backups of BOINC (i.e., if you do climate modelling), please be shure to copy the whole directory of BOINC. Of course be shure to exit BOINC before you do so.
