I've always been curious what the leaderboards might look like without third party Boinc clients, so
I went through the top participants by RAC and included any user who appears to be running a normal boinc clients. Well, actually I only inspected the most recent 10 of each user who contacted the server. If I found ONE host using a third party opt Boinc I excluded them from the list. This is "as of" Sunday night/Monday morning, it took a while to go through 570 users and their hosts just to pick out the top 100. Honestly, most were excluded because they were "hidden".

I have to apologize to any user who has their hosts "hidden" AND are running stock Boinc clients. Since, I couldn't confirm their use, I had to exclude them. Hope you understand.

[edit]The Host count can contain multiple copies of the same host. I made no effort to figure those out.
[edit again]If a user was inactive I couldn't confirm boinc versions/benchmarks so they were excluded too.

Yaaaaaaaaa. I'm 38 in rank for top RAC. That feels good. I'm going to start installing Rosetta on people's computers that I work on with their permission. That should be a good boost in RAC for me once I start doing that.

Mine are hidden, but my computers are not running modified boinc clients. My ratio would enter that list. lol
I don't care about modified clients.I only want to help, but it's funny to see that some users are more interested in numbers than in helping.
I'm from Portugal and it's curious that in my team two users with only 3 computers have more RAC than i do. And i'm running AMD's 3500+ and 4000+, P4 3000 and 3200 and a xeon with 2 cpu ht. They are hidden but they are processing 100% rosetta@home (I'm talking of 11 computers). That idea of showing only the non-modified clients top list was excellent. Stats should include only that ones :D

By the way... i use the default setting in preferences for all computers. Is there a way of optimizing the performance?

I didn't exclude team Xtremesystems. If someone there is running standard boinc software and have there puters visible, and fall into the displayed RAC range, then they are on the list.

Where are people getting the idea I'm attacking that team. Other teams and other users use third party boinc software. It's the use of that software I don't care for, whoever is using it, regardless of race, creed, color, team membership. Just because a thing can be done, it does not follow that it should be done.

And to answer XS Vietnam soldier. I don't want anyone to leave the project, I've never said so, nor implied it. Your computers and your teams computers are doing work for Rosetta, and that's a good thing.

Then why do you keep starting useless threads with even more useless list without any value because A. You cannot include hidden systems; B. Some systems do NOT show up correct so your list is based on wrong data and C. THE CREDIT SYSTEM IS CHANGING SOON ANYWAY, WHAT YOU'RE DOING IS JUST A WASTE OF WEBSPACE, TIME AND CPU-POWER !!!!!!!!!! (Notice the caps? Yes, I'm shouting just to get the message through)

Please stop trying to convince us that you're the almighty "Guru of Boinc" who's the only one who has the facts right...

You may not say it in plain words but your actions say exactly that and I don't beleive that it is directed at just the XtremeSystems team but at all the top teams.
Like it or not the top teams use the optimised files and thats been said to the point of making me sick of typing it.
I know you can read, so why do you constantly from every angle you can think of attack what we do? The only answer can be is that you so totally hate what we do that your only way to express that hatred is to keep at these posts.
All they do is to set peoples blood boiling and I beleive that to also be in your plans.
We've stated why we do what we do over and over and the reality is that if you totally forget the points, the top teams crunch the vast majority of the WU's that are done on a daily basis.
You will continue to post and I will continue to reply and that is how this will play out. If you want it to stop, all you have to do is stop the posting and I will do the same..I'm asking you to Please stop this today.
