Are the ROSETTA scientists and staffs also researching and working Degenerative Eye Diseases. Like Retinitis Pigmentosa?, Macular Degeneration Etc...

These disease are genetic. Are the defective proteins also causing this diseases?

Can this be solve thru Protein Folding also?

Please shed me some light on this.

Thank you.

note: I joined rosetta because i guess this is the closest research it will cure eye generative diseases.
I know folding@home but the contributors are already overwhelming so i choose this rosetta@home.

Any diseases that involve proteins could conceivably be helped by the work at Rosetta. Whilst there are some disease specific programs, the general idea here is to improve the tools used by other groups. A better hammer to drive nails with if you like.

I read an interesting article about a way forward for Retinitis Pigmentosa at New Scientist a short while ago.
