ok, 6 hrs in a aluminum tube to get somewhat fresh waffles off the street? think you better off getting a "fake" belgian waffle iron over there and making your own. just look for the ones with the deep teeth. here is one type of more or less authentic belgian waffle maker. Or this one. I found you a waffle truck that makes the rounds and has the "brussels" waffle vs the leige waffle that seems to be the "belgian waffle" of choice in NYC resturants. what you saw on the streets and what is served in this region is the "brussels" version. here is the link to their schedule and then you can look at the "menu" and see photos of their items. They do a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening. here is a review of the truck. High ratings overall. Supposedly this place offers "authentic" belgian fries. But their photos don't make it look to appealing. here you can get a $11 authentic brussles waffle. They even use the french term for it. East and West side locations. They say they have belgian beer as well. still crunching (almost exclusively) those 5m simap wu's. |

on a different note: Seattle is going to invade NYC. REI has a case of the vagabond Birkenstocks. The company says it will open its first New York City store in the fall of 2011. The store will be in 39,000 square feet in the historic Puck Building in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. |

But be careful of their "FRESH SQUESED ORANGE JUICE"! ;-)))) That was from the brunch menu of the East B Cafe. REI took over several large locations around DC in NOVA and they are very nice, one even has a climbing wall inside the store! And my rac should be still going up, the pc just got started and it usually takes a week or so to find its happy place. |

I think that TSO Seattle tickets went on sale, a few days ago ? not yet, have to try and convince D that its a good show despite its metal elements. i have the sound track to the show and need to get the you tube links to the softer and harder elements of the show. well by show i mean the album. |

I think that TSO Seattle tickets went on sale, a few days ago ? Checked ticket master and floor seats are the same as low level bleacher seats in price. If I can get D to agree to going then I can get back of the floor seating (row 35 for example). Steep cost $147 + tax and processing fees. But better than nosebleed or back of house. Though I remember from Rod Stewart concert long ago that back of house low level bleachers are still pretty good seats. Some other outfit is selling the same seats for $110 or more per ticket. |

$147 + tax + processing fees = $ ??? Is that for 1 or 2 tickets? I know TSO is not same as Air Supply, but M loves AS, and I was able to get a pair of front row floor seats on eBay for literally just a few more krill than what rip-off TM was going to charge me for tix in back of venue ! FWIW, here is an eBay Buy-It-Now for 2 tix, flr AA, row 4 ($198) How much were you going to spend with Ticket Master? Bet very close to $198 after all is said and done... Defeat Censorship! $147 + tax + processing fees = $ ??? that price is $209 + their 15$ shipping, which is $30 more per ticket than I would pay with ticket master. I wouldn't trust an ebay reseller any further than I could through them in person. |

I suppose... But with a Seller with 400+ feedback, 100% positive, and eBay Buyer Protection, as well as ability to do a "chargeback" on your credit card, I think the risks are minimal... A brand new Seller, with a feedback of 5, all negative, and wants payment via Western Onion, for backstage passses and after-show party with the band... ok, now that would send up red flags...
