well it looks like penguin has fed his hamsters since his crunchers are online
now to find out if he has escaped his trans-warp parallel universe trap or not.

Yeah I think his last one on the list must be caught up in that!! He has units still to crunch on it and it hasn't said hi in a week!

trying to plan a trip to antarctica. for real, not kidding. have a reservation, but i'm not feeling very comfortable with cruise operator. cruise season is nov 2009 - feb 2010. if this is a no-go, means i'll likely have to wait an entire year before next opportunity...

yes, if i do go, i will be seeing ALOT of penguins :)

Ahhh a trip to see the family, I just LOVE family reunions!!!

For the kind of money you will be spending feeling 'comfortable' is VERY important! If you spend the kind of money I think you will be spending and then have a bad trip, how will you feel then?!!! Better to put it off then not get the trip of a lifetime like you would like to get!! Besides, the family can wait another year to see you! And next year you will get to see all the new grand kids that you would have missed this year anyway!

Watch out for the scientific types, they might want to capture you and take samples.

You mean I didn't have to pay extra for that "option" ?!

Yeah, good advice. I think I'm going to hold off on going this cruise season. Things just don't seem to be lining up properly.

Looking at South Africa instead. Still (some) penguins down there...

You could always go to the Bahamas, 'it is better in the Bahamas' or so the tourism saying goes! No I don't live there, it is just nice and warm and kinda laid back, kinda penguin style! As for seeing any penguins, I am sure they have a zoo someplace! Or you could just take a break and stay at home and do chores! Nah on second thought, go somewhere, do something, life is too short not too!!!

no way! i was just pulling your leg (or flipper).

BTW guys...I am taking the machine offline for 3 weeks while on vacation.
I leave this saturday and come back the 28th. So I am trying to finish out my queue of tasks before then. Still on RALPH. Closing down einstein as well and leaving milkyway since their stuff is real short (2hrs a task)

Pengy - I am flying in and out of Dulles both ways. It's my hub this year.

Wave to the South West just slightly as you go thru Dulles, that is where I live. I will wave back if I see you. The outgoing flight path goes right over my home every day, a ways up there so noise is not an issue but I can still see and hear them. I used to be able to watch the Concorde go over at lunchtime every day when it was flying thru Dulles.

Be careful as you walk thru the fields, apparently there is still some unexploded ordinance from the war left laying around.

I guess that'd be one way to see a penguin fly...
