I'm a fresh starter at Rosetta@home (only did SETI@home 'til now) and I already have six failed results out of seven sent...
Well... This one is still being processed... But I think it will fail, too...

But this "execv: Text file busy" doesn't look like a typical Rosetta error.

Rosetta@home is the only Application where this occurs...

And any other BOINC-Projects are running fine (SETI@home and Predictor@home).

I have gentoo linux with boinc version 4.72.20050813-r3
Rosetta doesn't seem to work. I use the boinc_gui and the cpu time for rosetta doesn't increase. The work stays at 10% or 20% but nothing happens.
When I look into ths slots directory, there are no files written.
In the other slots (from lhc@home and predictor@home, files are written, at least when the project is preempted.

I don't know how to compile the cvs version of boinc. I get a warning that there is no gui compiled because there are no wxwidgets found. I have emerged wxGTK but still the same warning, so i am lost :-/

1. There are only three WUs, that succeeded for me... And it cannot be the cooling - It was cold outside... But in my room it's warm.. ;)

2. I have the same problem, that rosetta@home sometimes doesn't seem to run... Or it only consumes very few CPU-Power... But when I restart BOINC, it seems to consume more CPU-Power again...

3. Like I said before: Three Processes are running... With exactly the same parameters... Are these only threads?

4. boinc_gui needs wxGTK 2.6... Maybe you need to execute ./configure with an additional --with-wxconfig=wx-config-2.6
For me, it worked... AFAIK gentoo emerges wxGTK 2.4 and 2.6... When the USE-Flag unicode is set, it also installs both ansi and unicode versions of wxGTK 2.4 and 2.6...
wxGTK 2.4 = wx-config
wxGTK 2.6 = wx-config-2.6

I hope this helps...
And I hope that those errors disappear somewhen :(

Yeah! that does it. --disable server is also possible
But now make gives errors about undefined references :-( just like some header file is missing.
I have tried a few cvs sources but no luck.
I wil keep trying the cvs, perhaps the error wil disappear some day.

When i let the Rosetta project run until it is finished.. it works.
When it is preempted, and restarted again, it just sits there doing nothing, eating no cpu resources.
So I think i let rosetta run now and then, suspending all the other projects.
