From about a week I can't download new tasks and I can't upload completed tasks. (Someones expired tonight, others tomorrow and the last on january 15th)

The internet connection is on, and works for everything else. I didn't change any BOINC/rosetta@home preferences before the problem started.

I understand enough english, but replies in italian or french are welcome.

MacBook 2.13 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB Ram, OS X 10.5.8, around 9 GB free on HD, BOINC 6.10.21

See here for an earlier reply on another thread. The comments are still mostly valid.

Unfortunately I don't know much French or Italian so I can't reply in those languages. You can try asking on the Number Crunching forum as more users watch the threads there and may be able to reply in another language.

"Thu Jan 13 22:18:07 2011 rosetta@home Message from server: platform 'x86_64-apple-darwin' not found"

I have been unable to process anything for about two weeks.
Do I need to delete everything and start over?
Thanks,
John

Don't delete anything just yet. They are still cleaning up from the crash. Click here to have a look at the thread "Mac Problems Delivering results". David K has responded there and hopefully he will have things straightened out soon.

David K has solved this problem*. Your BOINC clients are probably somewhere in the middle of a 24 hour back-off but sometime today the client should initiate contact, report uploaded workunits and download new ones. If it doesn't or if you can't stand the wait, click the update button while rosetta@home is highlighted in the projects tab. Happy crunchin'.

Best,
Snags

*Problem being "platform 'x86_64-apple-darwin' not found". If you are still unable to upload, report, and/or download tasks please keep in mind that there still may be some congestion as folks return to report and refill caches of workunits completed during the outage. If you suspect something else is wrong you'll need to post the details from your machine.

I'm having the same issue for about a week now. I have an upload to deliver and it's not going up... Ideas?

I have not seen any other reports of such problems, so I can only suggest that you look for problems on your end such as firewalls, DNS failures, machine with lose cable, machine needing to reboot to have full network functionality restored, etc.
