I started crunching Rosetta tasks on my Nexus 9 tablet with 2 processors a few days ago. I bring my tablet to work with me each day and usually other projects just pause the task and then continue when plugged in at work.

I've noticed that with Rosetta that when I plug in my tablet again at work or home the tasks are always at 1-2% like they just started again.

I see two tasks with compute errors that were returned when I would have left work work so it seems like unplugging the tablet from power caused an error.

I just unplugged the tablet with 2 tasks at 3.0%, they went to ready and when plugged back in they went to 0.0%.

What's the minimum checkpoint percentage for Rosetta? I know some other projects will drop back a few percent if work is stopped while others do not at all. If tasks get reset back to 0% then Rosetta may not be the right task to run if I'm losing all work on at least 4 tasks a day and 20 tasks per week. I also take it to meetings at work so it can be more than that.

I've tried a few BOINC projects including R@H on my Nexus 6P and would get the exact same problem you described with all of them.

I think it might be an Android v6 issue (perhaps BOINC and doze don't get along) or a problem with the arm64 architecture (not sure if the Nexus 9 also uses arm64?). I also noticed folding@home was unable to downloaded from the play store as it was "incompatible with my device".

On a Samsung tablet running android v5, R@H works as it should.

I haven't upgraded yet as the Nexus 9 is still on Android 5.1.1.

Other projects seem to be Ok. Rosetta interrupted a Universe task and it's still sitting there at 54%. To me it seems more project related like there is no checkpoint at all so any pause restarts the task at 0%.

Since that prior post they are at 51.9% and 48.7% so those tasks may not complete by the end of day and all the work will be for not. :(
