Because there was a slight gap between the previous batch ending and the new one being issued, my systems switched over to my backup project, so I haven't started running any yet.
But the previous batch all ran successfully - no reason to think this one will be any different.

Ideally, I don't want to run my backup project, so if there are any other researchers needing to have work done, send them our way and we'll get a flow going without interruptions.
Things work more reliably on both sides of the server divide that way

I know exactly what they are and have several, they're much faster. An SSD over SATA is far too slow, because of the SATA.

There are currently a very large number waiting for validation (a third of a million). Looking at my waiting ones, and my recently validated ones, they have "minimum quorum 1" which suggests they're self checking, or the server does so, so we're waiting on the server, not any other user. Something must have gone wrong at their end.

Thus, one might well imagine that some day, we might also see HDDs with a NVMe interface, just as we now have SSDs with a NVMe interface.

Hard disk/rust spinner = mechanical drive connected via SATA, previously IDE. Now gets up to about 170MB/s.

SSD = solid state drive connected via SATA, limited by SATA to about 550MB/s.

NVME = solid state drive connected directly to the motherboard using PCI express, gets up to 7000MB/s.

I prefer 7000 to 550.

SSD just means solid state drive, there is nothing that says SSDs refers only to SSDs connected via a SATA interface. Both SATA SSDs and NVMe SSDs are SSDs.

Agreed. But they usually fix things quickly, at least we can pile up work for them over the weekend. Since they use SSDs and not rust spinners like some projects, it'll clear it in no time.

Yes, there's no quorum required before validation. It would be a server issue, even though the Server Status page says they're all running.
Now up over 500k awaiting validation.

And are running successfully, fully and with no errors on Intel, AMD and Android as well, which can't be said for everything.

My 2 Androids (OS 7 and 11) are getting no tasks.

I was sure I had a few earlier in the week, but my host isn't showing recent completions so you may be right

Just to mention, I'm definitely getting some Android tasks among the current batch.
