So downloads are still broken and boinc-process is still dead. Same here. But it's strange, 'cause the download service seems to be up (green) |

So downloads are still broken and boinc-process is still dead.Same here. There appear to be 3 servers of which 2 have an expired certificate. If you force the link to the third server as ArcSenda suggested it works fine - we’ll just have to remember to remove the hard coding from /etc/hosts when the certificate has been updated. |

It seems that, the DNS server of my ISP resolves boinc-files.bakerlab.org to 128.95.160.135 or 128.95.160.134 , which have expired SSL certs. OK: I tried this on my Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.10 (Ootpa) system and it works just fine. But how long should I leave my hosts file like this? /etc]# cat hosts 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4 ::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6 128.95.160.156 boinc-files.bakerlab.org At some point, 128.95.160.156 boinc-files.bakerlab.org will become invalid, or be the one with an espired certificate and I should remove it from the hosts file. |

the hosts file hack seems to no longer work. that address (128.95.160.135) stopped working for me last night. seems that rosetta is now a dead project. good thing WCG still has work for a while. edit: funny, last night i was using 128.95.160.156 and had the same symptom. pinging the server gave me the above addr which does not work. now trying 128.95.160.156 again it works. wonky. |

So downloads are still broken and boinc-process is still dead.Same here. In spite of having no feedback for some considerable time, I've sent a link to ArcSenda's message to the Rosetta admin email account with an appropriate Subject line Hopefully it does get picked up on, someone here notices when it's been sorted out and says so, so we can remove that line from etc/hosts again A lot of ifs admittedly... |

boinc-process host is running again, Validation backlog is cleared. Now all we need is the download servers to be sorted out, Grant Darwin NT |

I have dumped/cancelled 20 tasks over last several days mostly on my android phones that refused to download after 48 hours of too many retries. Would be nice to see them fix the problem before WCG goes offline for a month, but I won't hold my breath that long. |
