hey nekomi_ch, if you add the host above to your /etc/hosts file, or relevant hosts file on Windows, depending on what OS you use, then BOINC would be able to download files immediately

I don't want to jinx things, but they appear to have fixed the issue.

I noticed the amount of work in progress had started to climb again after slowly but steadily dropping for the last couple of days.
I've commented out the IP address in my Hosts file, and downloads are still going through without issue, using the IP address that was failing previously.

Nope, can't change that

Edit: I found a way

Edit2: I fixed it
(Guess no need to do SiDock or Astronomy things for now)

No problems so far after doing this config, but say how did you know I was using NixOS?

But anyways is there a way to show graphics in general?

How do I add the DNS changes mentioned previously to my hosts file on Ubuntu to get the downloads working?

sudo nano /etc/hosts

and add this line at the bottom

128.95.160.156 boinc-files.bakerlab.org

THANKS! Now all my host except my Android phones can get Rosetta tasks again.
Too bad there's no known way to edit the hosts file on Android.

Shouldn't be necessary.
As i posted on Dec 7th, it's been fixed.

If there are still issues, it's possibly due to ISP DNS caching (if flushing your own DNS cache doesn't fix things), or some other ISP/pairing issue.

I live in hope, but I sent my email about expired SSL certificates at midday on 6 Dec
I haven't had an explicit reply to any message I've sent for a couple of years, but if I know there's a reaction to significant issues that's still useful to know

Edit: I did have 2 Android tasks waiting to complete downloading. One has disappeared but the event log still says there's something waiting to download

As recently as today (December 8), I still require the mod to /etc/hosts to get downloads.

My computer thinks I use this address for my DNS server. It is the address of my Verizon router.

nslookup 192.168.1.1
1.1.168.192.in-addr.arpa name = CR1000B.mynetworksettings.com.

Pi-hole could be a solution.

Pi-hole-Settings -> Local DNS -> DNS Records:

Advertise the Pi-hole-IP (with DHCP option 6).
Or insert Pi-hole-IP in Android (WiFi-settings -> Static-IPs).
