To be more specific, go in to "Your Account", and then edit the "General Preferences", and set a higher "Connect to network about every X days"... the change will take effect the next time the client updates with the project. Don't go overboard! Make changes to this value gradually (maybe a half day at a time). BOINC has to learn by experience how often your PC will be running, and how often it will have network access etc. and these are all factored in to figuring out how much a day's worth of work actually is for your machine, with how you use it. Always keep in mind that there are times the project doesn't have enough work units prepared for download, or the project server is down for maintenance, so sometimes your client doesn't get as much work as it requests. If this is the case, then the network setting won't help. Add this signature to your EMail: Running Microsoft's "System Idle Process" will never help cure cancer, AIDS nor Alzheimer's. But running Rosetta@home just might! https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/ |
