In the results for one of my computers, it shows that I have 9 WU's in progress. One of them is recent (my computer is crunching it right now), and the other 8 were supposedly sent several days ago, but when I check my client they are no where in sight. This baffles me, but it may be related to my recent change of "Connect to network about every - 0.01 days" (so it gets updated frequently). If anyone has any information about this please let me know. Here is a link for the Results: https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/results.php?hostid=117209 [EDIT] Just for laughs, check out one of my computers I used to run Seti on, that now runs Rosetta. (switched everything to R@H) [HINT - check the upload/download rates] http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/show_host_detail.php?hostid=476025 cloaked_chaos www.whatsinyourbox.org |

It is an issue for BOINC rather than Rosetta. It will not cause you much problem, the only issue is that when each of the ghosts times out you may lose 1 off your quota. But every time you send back a valid result, your quota doubles (up to the max), so even the quota issue is a minor irritant, not a major problem. You mentioned SETI, I guess it was SETI classic - if you'd been BOINCing for a while on any BOINC project, including BOINC SETI, you'd have seen this before. So there is no need to be scared of ghosts ;-) Merry Christmas River~~ |
