A new bug is in the wild that will infect your PC by going to an infected site (or reading an email, basically anything that calls the windows picture and fax viewer). This isn't one of those 'open the attachment' bugs, you go to an infected website, you become infected.

In the short term, you can unregister the pic/fax viewer service by running the following line from Start > Run

REGSVR32 /U SHIMGVW.DLL

Once Microsoft releases a patch, you can re-register the service by running:

REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
