I also just joined the project with a Mac G5 Dual 2.5 CPU with OSX v1.3.9 and 2.5 GHz of RAM. Immediately upon downloading a WU file, I get an unrecoverable error with a consistant "process got signal 5" error. I'm running BOINC version 4.43. SETI@home works just fine. |

There are some problems with OS 10.3.x. I think that David Kim will be working on these when he gets back from vacation. For now, 10.4.x is required. This was answered in the other thread in this group as well. Not the most desirable answer, but know that the plan is to make the project 10.3.9 compatible. It will just take a little while longer to do so. Team MacNN - The best Macintosh team ever. |

Just a little something on the system requirements page maybe next to where they say it does work on Mac OSX 10.3.9. |

This was answered in the other thread in this group as well. The prior concern was fixed quite some time ago I believe, if you are experiencing other issues, please report them. Your response was to a thread that was 2 months old. Team MacNN - The best Macintosh team ever. |

This was answered in the other thread in this group as well. My Powerbook is on 10.3.7 and has gotten a client error on every work unit I've ever attempted (66 units). See: https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/results.php?hostid=92182 I didn't realize it was erroring out until now. Are there continuing 10.3 issues or is there something I could do to fix this? |
