I dont know if this is normal or not I never paid attention but I just downloaded 50 some files to make 17 work units is this normal. |

Yes - there are various "support" files for each type of WU, that are downloaded when you get a WU of that type. Because of the wide mix of WU types currently being issued, there may be quite a few support files downloaded along with them. |

Ok it just shocked me when I looked at my transfers tab and had more than a full screen downloading I thought the sceduler went crazy then I looked at the work tab, made me wounder. |

Many of these files will be retained and you will only have to download them one time. Others are updated and you will get updates to them as needed. Most of the projects have, particularly at first connection, a laundry list of files that have to be downloaded. Einstein@Home has a little of this in inverse. You download one data file and do 2 or more work units from this file. You can do quite a few work units from the same data file. Probably a good thing as the old data file was about 10M in size ... |
