Saw on the Server Status page that the "file_deleter boinc" is "Not Running". Is this a normal condition? Thanks! Regards, Bob P. |

I believe it is to do with the database of returned results or something similar. It is only used by the project people and so shouldn't affect us BOINC volunteers unless the number of files grows large like it did for SETI. With a small project like this, I don't see that happening. |

I believe it is to do with the database of returned results or something similar. You're right on the mark. As part of the beta testing, we're monitoring the rate and amount of data produced in order to ensure that our backend hardware/software is going to be robust enough to handle the data flow in and out of the BOINC system. Test, test, test.... It won't effect the client end of things. |
