by the way, is there a minirosetta source code? It would be easier to compile it on freebsd. |

never mind. Crunching for folding@home now. Linux client runs ok and its simplier than boinc_client. |

by the way, is there a minirosetta source code? It would be easier to compile it on freebsd. No. So far I know It's closed source. If it waould be open source I had still ported Rosetta to many platforms as posible, as I have done it for SETI, SIMAP and other projects. Btw. SIMAP and SETI has also native FreeBSD applications... |

Still not successfull: I have checked your results. Rosetta Beta works fine. But for the Minirosetta application the file minirosetta_database.zip is missing. You can manualy download it and put it to the projects/boinc.bakerlab_rosetta/ directory. After this I think it should work. If not the app_info.xml must be adujsted. But I will test this, too. |

Ah, i see where you looking now. I didn't know about these logs. I'll try rosetta again later. If my first crunches for folding@home on 32 & 64-bit BSDs will fine, it'll just remove a big headache of setting up rosetta on freebsd =) Yep, i know about seti, simap, milkyway, einstein, but simap is always lacking work units and for the seti, i'm trying to participate to projects which can give useful results. Imo there is no practical sense in knowing if the green men exist, or not. I'm running rosetta and docking @home on windows machines and, if i'll be successfull, folding@home on freebsd. Thank you very much for your help. |

I'm trying to get the minirosetta application running under freebsd too. Now, tasks do not finish, and it's because minirosetta needs minirosetta_database.zip I'm using the latest version, 1.97. I downloaded minirosetta_database_rev32257.zip, renamed it to minirosetta_database.zip and put it in the boinc.bakerlab.org_rosetta directory with the apps that had brandelf -t Linux applied to them. My latest task https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/result.php?resultid=281545452 shows it complains about the missing file minirosetta_database.zip. Does it need to be the original minirosetta_database_rev32257.zip? minirosetta_database.zip is not working, and I've reached my daily quota of two tasks per day, so I have to wait and see if it will work. Does anyone know what the minirosetta database zip file should be named with version 1.97 of minirosetta? Thanks. |

Whether minirosetta_database.zip or minirosetta_database_rev32257.zip, neither seems to work. My task ID still says minirosetta_database.zip is still missing. I just cannot get what is wrong. I really want this to work. Anyone have any idea what might be wrong? My latest task id is https://boinc.bakerlab.org/rosetta/result.php?resultid=282251446 Thanks. |

Is it possible the zip file was modified during transfer to the FreeBSD platform? Perhaps it is actually having trouble locating a file within the zip because it has been corrupted. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

Setting WU description ... ERROR: in::file::zip minirosetta_database.zip does not exist! ERROR:: Exit from: src/apps/public/boinc/minirosetta.cc line: 97 BOINC:: Error reading and gzipping output datafile: default.out called boinc_finish It looks for minirosetta_database.zip, since it can't find it, it seems to think the task is completed and tries to gzip the default.out file and fails. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this. |

You might assume that your task requires the highest numbered database file, download the current one from here and compare with the one you've got. Rosetta Moderator: Mod.Sense |

I did download the highest numbered minirosetta_database_XXXXX.zip I'm not sure exactly what it's looking for, or if it uses some hard-coded path. It won't output anything to the console, either. rosetta_beta works fine though, no errors at all. |
